1. Who we are

MetaMuscle LLC, trading as MetaMuscle, operates the MetaMuscle app and website. For the personal data described here, MetaMuscle LLC is the data controller — we decide what data is collected and why.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data — name, email address, login credentials and authentication identifiers. Purpose: creating and securing your account. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Profile and health-related inputs you choose to enter — goal, body weight, goal weight, activity level, dietary focus, food and calorie logs, workout logs, check-in notes and consulting application answers. Purpose: delivering tracking, recommendations and (where you apply) one-to-one consulting. Basis: contract, and your consent for the sensitive health-related details you voluntarily provide.
• Support and communications — messages you send us. Purpose: customer support. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Usage and technical data — device identifiers, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, error and performance logs. Purpose: security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and improving the product. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing preferences — if you opt in to emails. Purpose: product news and offers. Basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.

Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us. We never see or store your full card number.

3. Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors — hosting and database providers, file/video storage, authentication, analytics and error monitoring, and support tooling, acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which sells our products as reseller and handles subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep data

We keep account, tracking and consulting records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except where we must keep records longer for tax, accounting, legal or fraud prevention purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection or privacy regulator. UK and EEA users have all of these rights under the GDPR, and we respond within one month. US state privacy laws may give you similar rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Contact us through the in-app support link to make a request.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, row-level access controls so users can only reach their own records, private storage with expiring links for program videos, and restricted administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep risks low and will notify you where required if a breach affects you.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences — these are required for the app to work. We may use limited analytics and error-monitoring storage to understand usage and fix problems. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in will stop working without essential cookies. Checkout pages may set cookies controlled by Paddle.

9. Children

MetaMuscle is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post updates to this notice on this page with a new "last updated" date. For any privacy question, contact MetaMuscle LLC through the in-app support link or the contact address shown at checkout.
